Patoranking Stops Picking Timaya's Calls

Another artiste/label blues…

Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, the dancehall singer better known as Patoranking has reportedly parted ways with Timaya and Dem Mama Records.

Patoranking,24, hooked up with Timaya in 2012 and is believed to have signed with Dem Mama Records. He also began working with the label’s manager Prince Oluzor.

In mid 2013, Dem Mama Records released Patoranking’s official debut single titled ‘Alubarika‘ and shortly dropped a video for it in August. It is however unclear who has been funding Patoranking’s project. ’Alubarika‘ has been quite successful in Nigeria and Malaysia.

A Source close to Timaya tells us the ‘Ukwu’ singer says he was surprised when he learnt Patoranking had ditched the label in January 2014.

‘Patoranking won’t pick up his (Timaya) phone calls anymore. He just left the label‘, a source close to both parties says.

The Dancehall singer now associates with a new label FOSTON MUSIK which released his new single was ‘Girlie O‘ in February 2014.

Patoranking has also acquired a 2014 Range Rover SUV and moved to an apartment at the Metro Garden in Lekki, all courtesy his new label.

Phone calls placed to Timaya’s manager Prince Oluzor (who still manages Patoranking) were not responded to at press time. Neither were text messages or e-mails replied.

The Dem Mama Records label roaster fields the likes of T.J 2 Solo, Allenian, and Recoba.
