Bergkamp was in London to visit the Emirate and to unveil a statue of himself outside the ground while Fabregas who played in Barcelona’s 3-1 defeat by Real Sociedad on Saturday night was in London to present a trophy at the BRIT Awards… Meanwhile, a Crystal Palace fan has been arrested after Wayne Rooney had objects thrown at him during Manchester United win against Crystal Palace. Rooney was pelted with coins and a glass bottle as he took a corner in front of the Holmesdale Stand, which houses Palace’s most vocal supporters.

A spokesman for the Met Police confirmed that a man was taken to a south London police station on suspicion of throwing an item onto the pitch. The Football Association have also launched an investigation to find the culprits and will push for bans for anyone involved. Rooney handed the items to referee Michael Oliver and the pair had a conversation about what happened. Anyone who is identified will face a football ban, which the FA would push for in any such instance
