Dolce and Gabbana found guilty of Tax Evasion

Creative Directors of D&G, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been found guilty of tax evasion to the tune of $1.3bn. The verdict was announced yesterday afternoon after hours of consideration by a three-judge panel who decided to uphold last June's guilty verdict that saw the designers both sentenced to 20-months in prison for allegedly committing tax evasion, Vogue UK reports.
The alleged crime is said to have been a result of the sale of their Dolce & Gabbana and D&G brands to the Luxembourg-based holding company Gado Srl in 2004.
Dolce & Gabbana have always denied the charges and promptly appealed last year's decision with their legal representative. But the appeal has been denied and both men are now facing prison time
