PSquare, 2Face, Iyanya… Nominated For World Music Awards

Days after Chiwetel Ejiofor won the prestigious BAFTA Award the best actor category,Psquare, 2face,Tiwa Savage,Wizkid,Iyanya,Banky W,Waje and Lira have been nominated for the 2014 World Music Awards… a lot of artistes across the globe are shortlisted for several categories, this award recognizes sales merit and votes by the public online, in the same spirit of nomination, Waje is finally getting the attention and recognition she deserves.  The Nigerian artistes who have been nominated in the World Music Awards will be competing fiercely with Fuse ODG and Efya in both the male and female artiste category for Africa. The winners will be voted by the audience while the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) provides the organization with the names of the best-selling artists from all major territories.

Talking about Waje, she was nominated alongside five others including Ghanaian Reggae star Samini, will be contending in that category. This is a different award from World Music Awards because the categories… the award is scheduled to hold on March 1 at the Queen Elizabeth Theater in Toronto.
